Our journey began in 2014. As active sports and trading card collectors, we noticed a persistent problem: expensive graded card slabs and rigid top loaders constantly get scuffed and scratched. We engineered a crystal-clear, tight-fitting plastic sleeve featuring a unique, tapered resealable flap to give holders a clean, custom look.
Launched in 2015 under the name Perfect Fit Innovations, our sleeves quickly became a staple in the trading card community, highly praised for giving slabs a tailored fit with zero excess bulk.
In 2019, as our brand surged in popularity, another company holding an active trademark for the phrase "Perfect Fit" threatened legal action. Faced with a brewing trademark dispute, we had a vital choice: engage in a costly, distracting court battle or take proactive control of our destiny. To shield our business, ensure uninterrupted manufacturing, and protect the loyal collector community that relied on us, we made the strategic, voluntary decision to rebrand.
We seamlessly migrated our primary store to SuperiorFitSleeves.com and officially transitioned our corporate identity to Superior Fit Innovations Ltd., locking down our new exclusive trademarks later that same year.
Today, the ultimate validation of that proactive move is clear: the phrase "Perfect Fit" is no longer trademarked exclusively by anyone in the card sleeve market. It has completely devolved into a generic, flooded industry term used freely across the hobby by dozens of companies for basic, thin inner sleeves.
By taking swift, voluntary action under pressure in 2019, we completely separated our premium, custom-engineered designs from a messy, generic market term.
